This is a wonderful locally owned bookshop that you should definitely visit (and, of course, buy from)! Ellen and Rick are very well read themselves and can personally help you with your book decisions should you need their advice. You can't ask for more friendly, up-to-date folks that have a spacious and very neat shop. Love this shop. Oh, and the card selection is excellent!

Excellent local bookstore! Great displays - now I buy books from the Bennington Bookshop to "decorate" my home according to season and theme too. Imitation being a sincere form of flattery!
Friendly, cozy, wonderful bookstore in the heart of downtown Bennington. The selection is quite broad, and the owners are both knowledgeable and very friendly. If they don't have it they will order it. If you don't remember the exact title, they can probably figure it out with you.
They actually have a pretty wide selection AND anytime I've ever wanted a book they didn't have, they've ordered it for me at no extra charge and it's come in within a week. Very friendly and accommodating staff. They have events sometimes, sometimes they partner with the library and have events.
